1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how David Ogba Strategic Business Enterprises (Company Registration Number 7415448), trading as OGVIA Group ("OGVIA", "we", "us"), collects and uses personal information through ogvia.com and our services: OGVIA Gateways, OGVIA Source, OGVIA Shop and OGVIA Invest.

2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not visible to us).
- Forms and requests: details you enter in the eligibility assessment, sourcing requests, project submissions and enquiries. For the eligibility assessment this includes your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, country of residence, WhatsApp number, email, passport status and expiry date, education, study plans and funding information.
- Documents: when document upload becomes available, files such as passports, certificates, transcripts, sponsor identification, financial documents and product specifications.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or through the platform.
- Technical information: your IP address and request details, used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting, and session cookies that keep you signed in.
We do not knowingly collect more than we need for the service you request.
3. How we use information
- to provide the services you request, such as assessing study eligibility, processing applications, handling sourcing requests, fulfilling orders and responding to enquiries;
- to create and manage your OGVIA account and show you the status of your requests;
- to communicate with you about your requests, including by email and WhatsApp;
- to keep the website and your information secure, and to prevent fraud and abuse; and
- to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only where reasonably necessary to deliver the service you asked for, or where the law requires it. Depending on the service, this may include:
- technology providers that run the platform: our hosting provider, our database, authentication and file-storage provider (Supabase), and our rate-limiting provider (Upstash);
- universities, scholarship providers, embassies or consulates, where you have asked us to support an application;
- suppliers, manufacturers, inspection companies and freight or logistics providers, for sourcing and shipping;
- payment providers, once online payments are available; and
- professional advisers and authorities where legally required.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. International transfers
OGVIA operates across Nigeria, China and the Republic of Benin, and our providers may process data in other countries. Where information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to protect it in line with applicable data-protection requirements.
6. Security
We use measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls so that customers can only see their own records, restricted staff access by role, rate limiting, and private storage for sensitive documents that is not publicly accessible. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your password confidential, and do not send passport images or other sensitive documents by email or chat; use the secure upload when it is provided.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Specific retention periods for sensitive documents are to be confirmed. You may ask us to delete your information, and we will do so unless we need to keep it for a legal reason.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where we rely on it. To make a request, email info@ogvia.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
9. Applicants under 18
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian should help you use our services and submit your information.
